These classes includes strength, endurance and flexibility work developed from Pilates techniques and related exercises. The possible benefits of this program include: improving strength, endurance, flexibility, body posture, balance and alignment.
If you are concerned about doing exercise because you have a current or past heart condition, feel pain in your chest, lose balance because of dizziness, taking particular medications, have had joint or back problems, or are pregnant or have had a baby in the past 6 months, please speak to your GP before starting an exercise programme.
If you do not experience any of above listed concerns you can be sure that you can start to become more physically active and take part in a suitable exercise programme. Do begin slowly and build up gradually.
If your doctor has recommended that you avoid any particular exercise, please make sure that you inform your Pilates teacher. If your health changes subsequently so that you experience the above lists concerns, please inform your instructor immediately.
